Women in Computer Science
Redesigning the premier women in tech organization
PROBLEM
When COVID-19 hit two years ago and universities transitioned online, students relied more than ever on online presence in order to research and determine what organizations they wanted to join. However, our public profiles had some issues that made it difficult to attract new members and engage existing ones
OUTCOME
As President, I conducted a rebrand of our design system and a redesign of WiCS’s website, improving the user experience for the 1,000+ members of the Stanford women in tech community.
A Single Source of Truth
First I started out by conceptualizing and outlining WiCS's mission, image, and core values into an accessible, org-wide brand book
Next, I applied these visual systems and brand guidelines to the new website I redesigend
Old website for reference
Redesigned Website

I. INITIATIVES

III. GET INVOLVED

IV. TEAM

Explorations
Alternate color palettes that I ideated and considered
Summary
Being part of WiCS for the past three years, I really enjoyed this project because I felt like I was putting all my knowledge and understanding of our organization and the women in tech community at Stanford to good use for others. I loved getting to better understand the perspectives and motivations of members wanting to access resources and get more involved, and having the support of the marketing team to make it a reality.
