Overview
ABOUT
During spring quarter of my sophomore year, I took a leave of absence from Stanford to work as a Site Engineering Intern for the Washington Post on the Opinions and Article Experience Team. My work as a front-end engineer required close collaboration with many product designers, while following scrum methodologies in agile development.
Below are some of the components that I created and made notable contributions to.
Author Bio & Byline
Implemented the new byline and bio components utilized across almost every article
Author Follow Module
For set opinion authors, enables users to sign up to be notified every time an article by that author is published
Author Pages
Allows readers to find out more about, connect with, and discover content from their favorite authors
Homepage
Byline component embedded in the homepage’s opinions sections
