OUTCOME

Bloom—a mobile app designed to help college students maintain and develop their existing friendships

How can we create a framework that allows busy university students to stay connected, engaged with, and enriched in their friendships?

IMPLEMENTATION

I. TOOLS & LIBRARIES

  • Objective C, Xcode, Github

  • Apple’s ARKit, MapKit, AF Networking

  • Parse for database, and Artsy’s API for data

II. HARDCODING

Because the app didn’t have any users at the time of this project, uploads were hardcoded for demo purposes

Summary

I really enjoyed bringing to life a product that shares and makes more accessible to others an interest close to my heart (as an Art History minor). It was very fulfilling challenging myself to build a mobile app from scratch, simultaneously both from a design and engineering standpoint—from backend and database all the way to user interface, branding, and experience.
